Bridgit launches Carer Support Service

Carer Support Service Launch- Bridgit supports struggling UK Unpaid Carers

Bridgit has launched a new carer support video call service called YourTime, designed to support the 6.5 million unpaid carers across the UK.

YourTime is designed to provide personalized support and guidance to unpaid carers.

This will be through arranging video calls between unpaid carers and trained Bridgit Care Coaches.

Bridgit Care Coaches can advise on topics such as emotional struggles, financial issues, and balancing care and work.

Our Care Coaches can also simply be a listening ear or a friend to talk to.

Carers Support Service - Your Time Bridgit Care
Natalie, our Carer Support Service Lead, ready to provide helpful and compassionate advice to unpaid carers across the UK.

Carers tackle challenges everyday such as loneliness, struggles with their mental health, and confusion about how best to care for their loved one. The needs of carers are frequently overlooked. Often, carers are so focused on caring for others that they forget to care for themselves.

Bridgit puts caring for carers at the heart of all of our solutions. We want to provide the best carer support possible, in order to empower and uplift carers across the UK.

Bridgit's Complete Carer Support Solution

Personalized carer support can be found on our YourTime page. Carers can book a call with a trained Care Coach, who will talk them through their difficulties and help them come to a solution.

It is also just as important that our Care Coaches provide carers with emotional support and actively listen to their struggles. No carer should ever feel like they have to struggle alone.

Bridgit Care Coaches will also help carers set achievable goals so they can feel confident about their future.

After obtaining funding from Innovate UK, Bridgit’s Carer Support Service goes live on the 26th of Novemberwhich is this year’s Carers’ Rights Day. Carers will be able to book Care Coach Calls immediately.

It is essential to support unpaid carers, as they save the NHS an estimated £132 billion per year and do so much good in our communities by doing incredibly selfless work. Bridgit wants to appreciate and recognize the extensive contributions of unpaid carers by supporting and uplifting them when they need it most. After all, 3 in 5 of us will be carers at some point in our lives.

This year has been challenging for everyone, but particularly for those caring for their loved ones from a distance. Bridgit hopes to alleviate their anxieties and support carers through this difficult period.
